Katie is one determined little kid. When she wants to do something, she does it. When she wants something, she'll find a way to get it. Katie also seems to learn quite a bit just by observing and frequently amazes me with the things she just steps up and says/does. Katie rarely gives up and is always very proud of herself when she accomplishes something. She was exceptionally proud of herself today, and the rest of the family was as well.
Recently, Katie has been asking to ride Abby and Sarah's bikes. She is still too little for their bikes though, so I've been searching high and low for a smaller used bike that Katie could try. After coming up empty, I broke down and bought her a new 12 inch bike today. She's just too stinkin' cute to resist! Here's the footage from today.

And not to be outdone, here's Sarah on the monkey bars. (Abby did the same thing, but we didn't get video of it.) While the girls have been able to cross the monkey bars at some other parks for several months now, this was the first time they completed the ones at this park that are more difficult for them.
