6+ and 8+ Year Check-Ups

We opted to delay the girls' yearly check-up with the pediatrician this year to steer clear of the nasty bugs during the winter.  The girls also didn't want to miss school, so we scheduled all of their appointments on a day that they didn't have school.

Ballet Performance #2

We wrapped up our busy weekend with Katie's ballet performance.  For the younger kids, each class performed their own piece.  Here is Katie's class dancing to Music Box Dancer.  Katie is in the second pair of dancers to come onstage along with her good friend, Addison.

Piano Recital #2

Katie just finished her second year in the Let's Play Music program and loved every minute of it.  Here's a little bit from her recital.

Ballet Performance #1

This spring, Abby and Sarah played villagers in their ballet program's performance of Coppelia.  They were especially excited about their costumes until they realized that they were rather itchy.

Piano Recital #1

Abby and Sarah just wrapped up their third year in the Let's Play Music program with a piano recital.  The highlight of the evening was when they each got to play the songs that they composed and have been practicing for some time now.  I am so proud of them!  They have definitely surpassed my piano playing abilities already.

It is difficult to hear, but the title of Abby's composition is "Me and My Best Friend."  It is about two kids playing.

 

Sarah's composition is titled "The Battle."  It is about magical creatures having a battle.

We had such a great Let's Play Music experience with Mrs. Kristy over the past three years and are so sad to see her and her family move soon.  Katie will finish her last year of Let's Play Music with another instructor.
