Dear Dad,

Where do I begin?  It's so hard to put my feelings into words.  This past year has been a tough one.  Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought of you.  I am still so sad that you are gone, yet I am at peace with it at the same time.  I missed sharing special times with you over the year, like when I went to the annual Route 66 Days car show on the weekend of my birthday.  I should have been there with you, but I knew that you were there with me in spirit so I was okay.  It's hard when we head to "Grandma and Grandpa's house" for the weekend and you aren't there to greet us, but Mom definitely appreciates our visits.  I'm doing my best to take care of her like I promised you.  The girls miss you as well.  They talk about you frequently and cherish the memories they have of you.  Sometimes they'll say something like, "Grandpa gave this to me, didn't he?" and I can tell that it is extra special to them now.  Sarah in particular has a special place in her heart for you.  They have all grown up so much this year.  You would be proud of them.  They help me get through those tough moments and know when I need an extra hug.  Kyle has been unbelievably supportive as well.  It's getting easier, but I still think of you often and can't help but wish you were here with us.  It comforts me to know that you are in a better place now though.  I love you, Dad!!!

Bike Rodeo

Katie's preschool had their annual "Bike Rodeo" yesterday.  Katie chose to ride her scooter.  The weather was perfect for such a fun event.



Abby & Sarah's 7 Year Check-Up

Abby and Sarah had their annual check-up today.  Not too much to report.  Although it appears that Sarah's leg pains recently are due to a growth spurt.  She has about an inch on Abby now.  I'm sure the growing pains will hit Abby and they will be closer in height again real soon.

Another Birthday Celebration
