Katie's 3 Year Check-Up

Katie went in for her 3 year check-up today. As expected, everything is normal. Here are her official stats. She's been growing like a weed recently!

30 lbs. (44th percentile)
37.5 in. (62nd percentile) (Edit: More like 36.75 in., roughly 42nd percentile)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Katie!!!

It's so hard to believe that my baby is 3 years old today. Katie is growing up so quickly and amazes me daily with the (mostly good) things she says and does. Now, if we could just get her to buy into our "big 3 year olds don't do that" brainwashing everything would be golden. Hope you have a wonderful day, Pie! We love you!!

We were in Phoenix this past weekend and celebrated Katie's birthday there. Thanks to all of our family for toughing it out in the cold and rain for Katie's party. It means a lot to us to have everyone there to celebrate together.

Katie completing the first task of the hunt

Paige saying, "I see the flowers!" at the end of the hunt
(Steph, you'll have to give me a training session on how you do this and some of the other cute hairstyles you do for Paige.)

Abby playing pin the tail on Swiper

Katie blowing out the one candle that we managed to have lit at the end of singing "Happy Birthday" (It was breezy.)

Katie said that her favorite part of the day was the cake. That made every minute I spent decorating this cake worth it.

Katie enjoyed opening every card and made Daddy read all of them to her.

Heat Wave

It was 40 degrees outside when we went to check the mail today. To Katie, that is a heat wave I guess.

My Strong Willed Child

Do you like Katie's choice of clothes for running errands today? Yes, it was in the 30's with snow flurries. You should have seen the looks people gave us.

Pirate Day

It was "P Pirate" day at school for Sarah and Abby today, and this carried on at home. In these pictures, they made me hide gold coin treasures around the house and draw a map to guide them.

Celebrating With Great Grandma

We were blessed to be able to celebrate Kyle's grandmother's 96th birthday with her this past weekend. She is a wonderful lady, and I hope that the girls are old enough now to be forming some fond memories of her.
