Birthday Celebrations

Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate Katie's birthday. She had a great time at her party last night and opening more gifts today.

It's so hard to believe that our youngest girl is 2 years old today. (Then again, with some of the things she does it is hard to believe that she is ONLY 2!). We love you very much, Katie! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Nothing says "I Love You" like a shiny new ...

snow blower! Really! I'd be so excited if Kyle gave me one for Valentine's Day. I know we can't afford one right now though, so I'd settle for a relaxing massage (hint, hint). I just came in from over 1 1/2 hours of shoveling the driveway. By the time I finished, there were a fresh 2-3 inches. The forecast calls for another 5-8 inches overnight, so I'll be out there again soon. At least tonight Kyle will be home to help! :)

The Depot

We made our monthly trip to The Home Depot kids workshop this morning, but today was a little different. After watching her big sisters for nearly 2 years now and only being able to do a little here and there, Katie officially completed her first project. She was in heaven!

Mark This Day Down in History

Katie wore something other than black or striped pants today!

Katie has become quite particular with her clothes over the past few months and insists on wearing either black pants or a specific pair of striped pants each day. We rarely get her into something different, unless we put her in a dress. Lucky for Katie, she has older twin sisters, and I happen to have duplicates of both pairs of pants. And lucky for Paige, this means she'll get some hand-me-downs that have hardly been worn. Just don't count on any black or striped pants because I'm sure they'll be headed to the trash after this season.
