All Better

Yesterday, Katie went in for surgery to repair her umbilical hernia that we have been watching now for five years.  She wasn't too thrilled about the idea, but when all was said and done she agrees that it really wasn't that bad.  She is still a little sore today, but that isn't keeping her from playing with her friends.

The day wasn't all bad.  Katie received several gifts from friends and family members, including this Lego set that she had to assemble immediately after she got it.

Farewell to Preschool

After four straight years of driving to and from the preschool two days a week, we made our final trip on Thursday as Katie celebrated her last day of preschool.  Here comes kindergarten!

Mother's Day Brunch

Katie's class hosted a brunch for all of the mothers today.  So sweet!

The leaves say "I like to go to the store with my mom" and "I like to play games with my mom."  I would agree that Katie loves to play games with me.  She asks to play a game everyday.  I'm not so sure about going to the store.  I often hear complaining from her when it is time to run errands.

Music Recital

All three girls participated in the Let's Play Music program this year with Abby and Sarah in their second year and Katie in her first year.  The classes came together for a little recital to show off what they learned this year.

Talent Show

Abby and Sarah joined the Sign Language Club at school this year.  One of the main highlights was that they got to participate in the Talent Show with the club.  Anyone want to guess who is who in this video?

Katie and I recently managed to get out to enjoy the spring weather and a little quality time together when we went for a hike and picnic, just the two of us.  :)
