Climb to Conquer Cancer

In honor of my dad, Kyle and I are going to participate in the American Cancer Society's 2011 Climb to Conquer Cancer of Flagstaff. It is a 6.7 mile walk up Snowbowl Road on August 20th. Please support us with a donation or join our team (currently just the two of us) and climb with us.

Girls' Night Out

A friend and I took our girls out tonight for dinner at Olive Garden and then on see Annie Jr. at a local children's theater. Definitely a fun evening!

Happy Father's Day to all of you out there who are dads, especially the two special dads in my life, Kyle and my own dad. Kyle, I'm so proud of the amazing dad you are to our girls and thankful to have you as my partner on this parenthood journey. Dad, thanks for being such a great dad. I miss you terribly. Sewing Week

I spent some time this past week teaching the girls some basic sewing/stitching. Sarah and Abby did quite well. As for Katie ... well, she was being Katie. Here are some of the results of their efforts.

One Expensive Rock

I wish that I was referring to an expensive rock of the diamond variety, but I'm not. This is one of three that Antra chose to eat which led to four nights in the hospital, surgery, and about thirty staples. I'd like to think that she learned her lesson, but somehow I don't think she has.

I was finishing up vacuuming today while Katie was playing in the living room. Next thing I knew she was passed out on the floor next to her toys. I proceeded to clean up her toys and vacuum around her, and she never woke up. I'm jealous!
