I Think They Like It

Jester and Antra seem to approve of our new bed. I'll try to post some more pictures of the new furniture when I have time to get the room put back together ... probably sometime next year!

Butterflies

After subjecting numerous caterpillars that we found to a slow death in a little plastic "bug catcher," we were finally able to take care of not 1,but 3, of them all the way to the butterfly stage. It took longer than expected, and there was always that question of whether a butterfly or moth would appear, but in the end we had 3 beautiful butterflies. It was a fun process for all of us, and the kids enjoyed releasing the butterflies today.

Sarah and Abby opening up the butterfly garden

The last butterfly seemed a bit scared to fly away. I wonder why??

I love the excitement they had. Wish I had been able to capture it a little better though. (Look closely for the arrow pointing to the butterfly.)

I Love Summer!

We've been spending a lot of time doing this recently.

Days til Oregon

The kids are VERY excited for our upcoming trip to Sunriver, Oregon and have been asking to make a countdown chain for some time now. I finally gave in today. We'll cut one link each of the next 16 days.

Making the Best of the Wind

It was rather windy on Saturday (just like nearly every other day recently!), so we decided to take advantage of it instead of curse at it. We headed to the park in our old neighborhood (which we miss having in our current neighborhood), flew the kite, and played at the play ground.

Picnic

Each year, the hospital puts on a picnic for the children who spent time in the Special Care Nursery and their families. The kids enjoyed it again this year.

The girls enjoyed making flowers and delivering them to Grandpa in the hospital.
