Princess Party

Abby and Sarah finally got their princess party yesterday. They were SO excited that they didn't fall asleep until 10 p.m. the night before and then Abby crashed mid-party because she was so exhausted. The weather cooperated and we were even able to play outside for a bit. The girls had a blast. It will take me a week to recover, but they had fun so it's worth it.

Abby and Sarah's 4 Year Check-Up

Abby and Sarah went in for their 4 year check-up yesterday. Here are the official stats. Not too bad for a couple of little peanuts who were only 4 1/2 pounds at birth and weren't even on the chart for weight until around 2 years. They also both lost weight recently when they were sick.

31.4 lbs. (21st percentile)
38.5 in. (25th percentile)

That's right. They were identical in both weight and height, although I would say that Sarah is a bit taller than the nurse measured her.

Our little girls took us by surprise and arrived even earlier than expected 4 years ago today. They have kept us on our toes ever since. We can't imagine our life any other way though. We love you, girls!!!

The Countdown

Abby and Sarah have been counting down the days to their birthday. This picture was taken yesterday as Abby was cutting off one more ring. Now we're down to only 2 more days!

Big Girl Crib

We recently converted Katie's crib to a "big girl crib" (aka toddler bed). She has done really well with the change. For now, Katie will have to wait to get her true big girl bed. It will involve redecorating her room, moving beds upstairs and downstairs, and purchasing an entire new bedroom set for myself and Kyle. Too much time and money involved right now. Sorry kid! As you'll see in the video though, she loves her new bed so I think we'll be okay waiting for a bit.

The weather was perfect today, and the girls were off from school for Spring Break, so we headed to the park.

Busy Day

We had a busy day yesterday. We went to Sedona for a hike and then out to dinner to celebrate our 11th anniversay. Everyone had fun.

We're In Trouble Now!

Uh-Oh! Katie caught her pants on a shopping cart this morning. Now we are down to only one pair of striped pants. Let's hope that, along with the 3 pairs of black pants, gets us through the next 2+ months.

Katie's 2 Year Check-Up

Katie went in for her 2 year check-up this morning. She's doing great, just like we expected. Her umbilical hernia has gone down considerably, so the doctor says we should just wait it out until she is 4, maybe even 5, years old. Here are the official stats:
