Tea Party

The girls attended their first real tea party yesterday and had a wonderful time. Thank you Jenn for hosting such a cute party!

Hiking

The weather was beautiful on Sunday, so we headed out for a hike.

Pre-hike snack

A little rock climbing

Once again, Katie was just along for the ride rather than the hike.

Why???

The girls (especially Sarah) have been spending a good portion of their days in this position recently. I just don't understand.

She Knows What She Wants

Katie is one stubborn child, in many ways. As some of you may recall, she spent most of the last fall, winter, and spring seasons wearing either striped or black pants. Now that the weather has turned cool, Katie is once again requesting her favorite striped or black pants. Luckily, her big sisters have four pairs of black pants to pass down to her, but we won't be so fortunate with the striped ones. One pair was torn last spring and the other one has seen better days. Not to mention that they are getting a bit snug and short on Katie. But, here she is wearing them nonetheless.

Big Day!

We took the girls to the park today to practice riding their bikes without training wheels. It was only the second time we did this, and they did awesome!! They still need a little work on starting and stopping, but they did so well riding that they were even able to make it around the long loop at this park all by themselves. (Sorry for the noisy video. It was windy today!)

Way to Go, Grandpa!!

Grandma and Grandpa G. are visiting this weekend. They drove Grandpa's "snazzy" car up the hill so that he could enter it into a car show that was held downtown today. Out of 400 cars entered, Grandpa's car took 4th place. Not too bad!!

Sarah, Katie, and Abby posing next to Grandpa's 1939 Lincoln Zephyr (We're still working on the whole "Don't Touch" idea. Grandpa gave them a little slack for this picture since they are family.)

Grandpa and Grandma receiving their award

The girls loved every purple or pink car that they saw and insisted on taking a picture next to this one.

Just thought this one was neat
