For over 5 years, our family has grown accustomed to having family live just a few minutes away. The girls don't know anything different and have grown close to their aunt, uncle, and cousins over the years. As Erin, Joey, Brooke, and Brandon prepare to move on though, it was time to say goodbye tonight. I don't know whose idea it was or where they learned it, but the kids embraced in this "group hug" full of laughter as they said goodbye. That laughter turned to tears though as the car drove off and reality set in. The girls screamed and cried for their cousins for over 30 minutes before we could settle them down. They are each in their beds now, snuggled with something special that came from their aunt, uncle, and cousins over the years. They are already asking when we can take a road trip to see them.
Erin, Joey, Brooke, and Brandon - Thanks for all of the memories over these years. It's been fun, and we enjoyed having you guys nearby. You'll be missed! Although you won't be just a few minutes away anymore, we hope that somehow we can maintain the closeness. We're looking forward to seeing you at Christmas time. Best wishes to you on your new adventure. We love you!

We love you guys so much and it was so so hard to say goodbye!! We have such wonderful memories with you guys even if it was just a quick dinner on a week night. I have always cherished the closeness of our kids and it makes my heart hurt putting this distance between them. I hope with some help of technology we can remain close. Missing you already!!
