First Pick

The girls made their first official pick from our garden this evening - three radishes! (They also sampled a few strawberries earlier this week, but those don't count because we bought a strawberry plant from the nursery. The radishes were started from seed.) Katie was apparently confused and thought that she would get to put her radish in a vase like a flower you would pick from the garden. (She has never eaten a radish before.) She cried when Kyle cut the leaves off of her radish, so we now have a fourth radish from the garden proudly displayed in a vase on the kitchen counter.
